NDS organizes literary meet

JAMMU, Mar 17: Nami Dogri Sanstha-TAF(R) organised a multi-lingual literary meet at Sewa Bharti here today.
Nationally acclaimed Urdu poet and president, Adbi Kunj, Sham Talib, was the chief guest whereas noted broadcaster, theatre activist and general secretaty, ‘SAPTAK’ presided over the event.
In his address, Sham Talib impressed upon the writers to contribute towards the good literature in their own humble ways and enrich the Dogri language. He also dwelt upon the literary merits of the presentation.
Vijay Atri while addressing the Litterateurs and the audience exhorted that the writers and artists fraternity should work fervently to promote the Dogri language and literature. He further appealed the Literary and Cultural Organisation as well as the Jammuites to join hands and vociferously raise the issue of ‘’Duggar Channel’’.
Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, president NDS-TAF(R) assured that NDS is committed to the promotion of Dogri language and literature and providing a suitable platform to young and budding artists as well as the established writers.
Those who read their poems, songs and short stories were Sandeep Singh Jamwal, Suraj Prakash, Shambu Ram, Manjeet Singh Kamra, KL Dewana, Rajeshwar Bhakhri, Sham Talib, Ramesh Chadda and Yash Paul ‘’Yash’’.
