NC MPs meet Yechury, discuss J&K issues

NEW DELHI, Dec 22: National Conference Members of Parliament (MPs) led by the party president Dr Farooq Abdullah met CPI (M) senior leader Sitaram Yechury and discussed various issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir.
“The leaders discussed the prevailing situation in J&K. Among other issues, the restoration of statehood, Article 370 and delimitation process were also discussed by the two leaders,” said a NC spokesperson.
The spokesperson said both Farooq Abdullah and Sitaram Yechury emphasized on the need to come together and unitedly stand shoulder to shoulder for the restoration of abridged democratic and constitutional rights of the people of J&K.
Dr Farooq Abdullah, HasnainMasoodi and Muhammad Akbar Lone expressed gratitude to the CPI (M) senior leader for his continued support denouncing the August 5, 2019, Abrogation of Articles 370 & 35 A and delimitation process decisions.
