Natrang showcases ‘Gulab Gatha’

JAMMU, Oct 21: In connection with the 222nd birth anniversary celebrations of Maharaja Gulab Singh, Natrang showcased a film on the musical opera ‘Gulab Gatha’ at its Studio Theatre.
Witnessed largely by young audiences, the show was aimed at educating them about life and contribution of great warrior and visionary who is known world over for his well-planned strategic and diplomatic intelligence.
Designed and directed by Padamshree Balwant Thakur, this Natrang Jammu presentation was produced last year in association with Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust Jammu.
With 70 top actors of Jammu stage and a team of 15 creative off-stage experts, Balwant Thakur created this mesmerizing electrifying presentation with Brij Mohan as its lyricist and music composer.
The musical opera tried to show a journey of a soldier who achieves great success at everything he initiates. His unquestionable obligatory obedience towards Lahore Durbar, his unconditional sacrifice and his conception of a kingdom has been regarded and given value in the play.
The play has beautifully explained how a normal person with no lineage of royalty established himself as a King with the help of his bravery and continued to keep a hold on his empire because of his well-planned strategic and diplomatic intelligence.
The prominent actors of Jammu who featured in this historic theatrical show, included Madan Rangeela, Suresh Kumar, Subash Jamwal, Neeraj Kant, Vijay Bhatt, Sanjeev Gupta, Dimple Sharma, Gaurav Jamwal, Sajra Qadir, Mohd Yaseen, Uplaksh Singh Kotwal, Rahul Singh, Pawan Verma, Ankush Laknotra, Ashwani Bali, Shivam Manhas, Susheel Raina, Masood Qadir, Nitin Kumar, Rohit Sharma, Rishiv Prabhakar, Sachin Sharma, Sachin Bamba, Arun Sharma, Ravi Choudhary, Chaman Lal, Shujja Bhatti, Ashok Kumar, Syed Muddassar Ali Shah, Mahikshit Singh, Mihir Gujral, Gopi Sharma, Chander Partap Singh and Chirag Anand.
