JAMMU, July 1: Commemorating the “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking,” the Red Ribbon Club of Department of Students’ Welfare, University of Jammu in collaboration with J& K AIDS Control Society (JKACS) organized two days national level online quiz competition on the theme, “Better Knowledge for Better Care.”
About 500 participants from different parts of India including Patiala, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jammu, Kashmir, Kargil and Himachal Pradesh participated in which 40 participants secured 100 percent marks while 53 participants achieved 90 percent marks and 388 participants secured more than 70 percent marks and got qualified for the event. The participants who qualified the quiz were awarded with e-certificates as a mark of appreciation.
The event was conducted under the supervision and guidance of Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare and Project Director, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, JKACS and the event was coordinated by Dr Meghna Dhar, Nodal Officer of Red Ribbon Club with the cooperation of Dr Deepika B Thakur, Dy Director JKACS.
Prof Jasbir Singh lauded the efforts of all the participants for making the event successful whereas, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather stressed for resolving the problem of illegal trading, selling or dealing with drugs .
