BAJALTA, Apr 1: Nagrota Youngstar Eagles today registered a convincing win over Sidhra Waliabad, while Bajalta Kings got better of Khanpur Panthers in the ongoing Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana.
Winning the toss and batting first, Nagrota Youngstar Eagles scored 117 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 14 overs.
Chasing the target, Sidhra Waliabad managed to score 103 runs only in 14 overs after losing eight wickets., thus Nagrota Youngstar Eagles won the match by 14 runs.
Kamal for his 11 runs and 3 wickets was declared as man of the match.
Second match was played between Bajalta Kings and Khanpur Panthers. Winning the toss, Bajalta Kings decided to bat first and managed to score 112 runs in 13.1 overs, losing all their wickets.
Khanpur Panthers failed to chase the target and managed to score 109 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 14 overs, thus Bajalta Kings won the match by a narrow marging 3 runs. Hameed was declared as man of the match for his splendid show.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-ur-Rehman and Sadiq Hussain Malik from the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K.
The matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, vice president Take-1 Channel and Kuldeep Singh Jawmal, Member organizing committee.
