JAMMU, June 12: On the fourth day of the North Zone Inter Sainik Schools Sports Meet, Sainik School Nagrota scored a spectacular win over Sainik School Sujanpur Tira by 4-1 in Junior Football.
It was a delightful treat from young Nagrotians to Simrandeep Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu who visited his almamater Sainik School Nagrota and witnessed Football, Volleyball and Hockey matches that were held simultaneously in different playfields of the school.
The visiting dignitary was thoroughly impressed by the progress and perceptible improvements made by the school in recent years.
Col KD Koushal, Principal presented a school souvenir to DC Jammu Simrandeep Singh as a token of remembrance.
In their third league match in Basketball, Nagrotians defeated Sainik School Ghorakhal (69-53) and will play against Kapurthala in the final league match to decide the North Zone Basketball Championship.
In Volleyball, the hosts scored a convincing 3-0 win over Sainik School Kapurthala and Ghorakhal and sealed the runners-up position.
