POONCH, Dec 31: An impressive ‘Nagar Kirtan’ was organised in Poonch today in connection with coming Gurpurab (Birthday of Guru Gobind Singh Ji) under the auspicious blessings of Guru Granth Sahib by the local Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
The ‘Nagar Kirtan’ started from Gurdwara Singh Sabha and after passing through Qila Bazaar, Bus Stand, Nakha Wali Road, Parade Bazar finally culminated at the place of its origin. A large number of people participated in the grand religious procession.

Various organisations including Sikh Students Federation, Missionary College, Istri Satsang and members from all the Gurdwaras participated along with Sikh Sangat. The members of Hindu and Muslim community also joined the procession showing true brotherhood and secularism.
Gatka (Martial art) was displayed throughout the way by Sikh youths. Main programme was in sports stadium where Martial art was displayed and preachers threw light on life history of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Deputy Commissioner, Poonch Rahul Yadav, additional SP and other officers from Police and civil also participated.
Prominent among participants included Rajinder Singh- Secretary, Harcharan Singh Khalsa Sikh Students Federation leader, Jagjeet Singh Bunty, Onkar Singh, Mohan Singh, Manmohan Singh, Raagi Jatha of Harcharan Singh, Sartaj Singh, Harbans Singh Ex- Sarpanch , Bhopinder Singh Sarpanch Degwar, Amar Singh Josh, SN Khajuria, Taj Mir, Randhir Singh Dheera and  members of Sanatan Dharam Sabha.  President DGPC Poonch thanked the administration for cooperation.
