The author has expressed great concern over the apathetic attitude of the Municipal bodies towards conservation of water bodies in the State. The State Government must issue directions to these bodies not to dump waste in or near water bodies. In case waste continued to be dumped in water bodies, the time is not for away when these bodies will cease to exist. Water bodies are a must for our survival. These not only beautify the landscape but also provide water for agriculture and domestic purposes.
In Jammu Division, many water bodies are losing their existence as nobody bothered to take their proper care. It will be a great loss to this planet, in case these water bodies are not conserved.
