Mulochak Panchayat facing numerous problems

JAMMU, Aug 30: Not only the creation of new administrative units, the rationalization of boundaries of existing ones is also imperative in view of difficulties being faced by the people in getting their issues resolved without much difficulties and travelling long distance.
The problems being faced by the inhabitants of Mulochak Panchayat is an indication towards the necessity of immediate rationalization of boundaries of existing administrative units.
The difficulties being faced by the inhabitants of three villages fall under this Panchayat namely Mulochak, Pindi Sarochan and Nowabad can be gauged from the fact that Tehsil Office of the Panchayat is at R S Pura while as Block Development Officer’s office of the Panchayat is at Bishnah.
Similarly, Police Station of Panchayat Mulochak, which falls under Suchetgarh constituency, is at Arnia which falls under Bishnah constituency. The educational institutions in the Panchayat fall under the Educational Zone at Arnia.
Moreover, Sub-Division Offices of the PHE and PDD of the Panchayat are at Bishnah while as Sub-Division Office of PWD is at R S Pura as a result of which for getting their grievances redressed with regard to basic amenities of life like water and electricity the people of this Panchayat they are being compelled to travel a long distance.
Though the MLA Suchetgarh, Sham Lal Choudhary had brought these grievances of Mulochak Panchayat to the notice of Deputy Commissioner Jammu on June 12, 2013 through a proper communiqué yet no step has so far been taken to redress the problems of this Panchayat.
