JAMMU, Sept 1: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) activists here today staged a protest demonstration against the construction of flyover on Ambphalla, New Plot, Janipur, Roopnagar road.
The protest was led by MSJK president, Sunil Dimple and the protesters torched the effigy of the Government.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple that the Government should accommodate lakhs of residents and traders affected by the flyover construction and compensate them.
He claimed that the Government is not ready to hold talks with the affected traders, shopkeepers and residents and notices were also not given to them.
The MSJK leader demanded construction of a ring road from Ambphalla Manda to Janipur High Court till Akhnoor and start of the metro train from Ambphalla-Manda to Akhnoor.
He warned to start indefinite, massive agitation including a Jammu bandh call to stop the flyover construction.
Dev Raj, Vipan Gupta, Mukesh Mahajan, Rakesh Sharma, Deepu Gupta, Das Ram, Ashu, Jeet Kumar, Himanshu Gupta, Jetinder Gupta, Thoru Ram, Nandu Lal, Sweety Kour, Nelam, Netu Kumari and many others were also present in the protest.
