MSC Bhaderwah, TMCC Budgam register wins in Gufran T20

DODA, June 18: Moham-madan Sporting Club (MSC) Bhaderwah and Tossa Maidan Cricket Club (TMCC) Budgam registered convincing wins over their rivals in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda with the active support of District Administration and District Police Doda.
In todays’ first match, Mohammadan Sporting Club Bhaderwah defeated Friends Cricket Club Thathri by 14 runs. Batting first, MSC Bhaderwah set a target of 163 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 17.5 overs. Azhar Sheikh top scored with 43 runs, while Waqar Hafiz contributed 35 runs to the total. From the bowling side, Azhar Mir, Adil Jan, Saqlain and Imran Latief bagged 2 wickets each.
In reply, FCC Thathri managed to score 148 runs to lose the match by 14 runs. Saqlain scored 42 runs while Naeem Bagwan contributed 25 runs to the total.
From bowling side, Shahroz Malik bagged 3 wickets while Mudassir took 2 wickets.  Shahroz Malik of Mohammadan Sporting Club Bhaderwah was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance who was given prize by Dr Nasir Masood Indrabi and Mashhood Latif Zargar.
In another match, Tossa Maidan Cricket Club Budgam defeated Eleven Star Cricket Club Poonch by 37 runs.
Batting first, TMCC Budgam set a target of 133 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 17.3 overs. Sahil scored 30 runs while Nawaz Butt contributed 23 runs. From bowling side, Wajid Katoch and Ajmal Abass took 3 wickets each.
In reply, ESCC Poonch managed to score 95 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 17 overs, thus lost the match by 37 runs. Mohit Pandey top scored with 19 runs while Zahid added 16 runs to the total. From bowling side, Naveed grabbed 4 important wickets while Mustafe and Ehsan Farooq shared 2 wickets each.
Naveed of Tossa Maidan Cricket Club Budgam was declared as the man of the match, who was given prize by Senior Journalist Vikas Abrol along with Vice Principal SPHSS Doda Yawar Khurwani and In-charge PP GMC Doda Imran Ahmed.
