POONCH, May 9: Member of Parliament (LS) Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma today chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) at a meeting held here.
At the outset, District Development Commissioner, Yasin M. Choudhary presented the status of the sector – wise developmental achievements and implementation of central and UT sponsored schemes in the district through a PowerPoint presentation.
Stressing on speedy completion of all ongoing works and projects, the MP reviewed implementation and progress recorded under Ayushman Bharat/JK SAHET Scheme, PMGSY, SBM, JJM, RDSS, PMKSY, ICDS MGNREGA, PMAY, and other schemes.
Detailed review of achievements of different departments including R&B, PMGSY, PHE, Horticulture, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Animal and Sheep Husbandry was also taken by the chair.
While praising the District Administration Poonch for timely execution and completion of works and successful implementation of schemes, the Member Parliament laid emphasis on working in close coordination with elected representatives to maintain the pace of development works and timely removal of bottlenecks.
While reviewing achievements under different schemes, the MP directed the officers to expedite the augmentation of the road network, especially PMGSY roads. He further directed for completion of Mandi-Chandak road and Mandi Bridge before Shri Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra. He also directed concerned officers to resolve the genuine issues raised by the members of the DISHA committee.
The MP emphasized on sustenance of developmental activities and improvement in education, health and PHE sectors besides road connectivity to ensure better facilities to the people of Poonch. He also directed officers to adhere to timelines set for achieving allocated targets.
The Member Parliament said that transparency and efficiency in governance has been the hallmark of the present Government.

Tanveer Khan, General Manager DIC, Dr. Zakir Hussain, Chief Agriculture Officer, Rakesh Sharma, SE, PHE, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Chief Horticulture Officer, Sanjeev Sharma, Executive Engineers besides all concerned district/Sectoral officers and members of DISHA Committee were present.
