RAJOURI, Apr 7: A young woman committed suicide by hanging at her residence at village Mubarakpura near Rajouri this morning.
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old, Sakina Akhtar, wife of Mohd Sharief, hailing from Mubarakpura.
The police said SHO Rajouri received information about the incident in the morning around 6 am and the police party reached the spot. The woman, a mother of three children, reportedly had some altercation with the husband and in-laws over some domestic issue. Today morning, her body was found hanging from the ceiling fan hook of the room.
The police party after examining the spot, shifted the body to Rajouri hospital for post-mortem. Later , it was handed over to the family. The parents of the girl were alleging it as murder. The police has launched inquest proceedings into the case. It has detained some members for questioning.
