Leh, Jan 31: The closing ceremony of the month-long winter camp for students of Nyoma was held at Nyoma today. The camp was jointly conducted by Youth Conservation Corps (YCC), Health Inc, Nyoma Youth Association with support from the District Administration.
Councillor Nyoma, Ishey Spalzang, was the chief guest for the closing ceremony. Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Nyoma; Nambardar, members of Village Education Committee (VEC), parents and villagers were present during the event.
Students were taught skill development, critical thinking and problem-solving during the month-long camp. They were trained in carpentry, knitting, weaving, sewing, ice-skating and digital tools for the development of education in remote areas of Ladakh.
