JAMMU, Aug 27: Kavinder Gupta, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister has asserted that with the unprecedented development witnessed across Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Government has changed the entire scenario of this Union Territory. He said that the credit of the peaceful environment existing here today goes to the incumbent BJP Government as a result of which Rahul Gandhi along with his family is spending the time and enjoying in Kashmir Valley without any fret or fear.
He expressed this in his address during a function at Trikuta Nagar wherein he kick-started the slab laying work on a bridge in presence of Lucky Puri, corporator Ward 54 and senior BJP leaders, Vinay Gupta, Rekha Mahajan and Indu Puri besides other party workers.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder congratulated the people of the area for the commencement of the work on one of their long pending demands. He said that after completion of this project which is estimated to cost Rs. 3 crore, the people of this locality and adjacent areas will get immensely benefitted.
The former Deputy Chief Minister also interacted with the local residents and listened to their issues. He assured them that their issues related to civic infra will be taken up with authorities concerned for early redressal.
