JAMMU Oct 23: Former Minister, MLA and State spokesperson BJP, Priya Sethi, inaugurated ladies get together organized by M/s Mitu Kitu, at Gandhi Nagar here, today.
Priya Sethi was accompanied by Rekha Mahajan, BJP-Mahila Morcha district Jammu president, Jyoti Devi (Corporator Ward 53), Monika Khosla, Reena Salathia, Rekha Chouhan, Kamla Sharma, Shashi Sethi, Krishan Priya and others and paid visit to each and every stall and appreciated the wide and exclusive range of stalls which included Glass bangles, Lac bangles, Metal bangles, Kundan bangles along with designer imitation Jewelry, Bridal Churas, Kaleeras and purses showcased in a very effective way.
The aim of function was to have interaction with the ladies and inform them about the significance of Karva Chouth festival. Free Mehindi stall by a renowned artist namely Krishna was the spot light of the event which was enjoyed by ladies and will last for two days i.e on October 23 and October 24.
Former Minister while speaking to media gave her good wishes to Priyanka Mahajan Owner of the Showroom said that BJP Government at Centre led by NarienderModi has always given priority to women empowerment and for that various welfare measures and schemes for women folk have been launched by the Modi Government like”, Beti Bachao,Beti Padhao,Sukanya Samriddh Account, amendments in Maternity Act, doing away with Triple Talaq etc.
She said that recently PM of India has said that “financially empowered women are a “bulwark against societal evils” and for women empowerment financial independence is necessary. Women are enterprising, they don’t need to be taught, only need to be given opportunities to perform.
Former Minister lauded the efforts of organizers to make it one stop shop for the ladies to fulfill all their needs during the festive seasons.
