JAMMU, Aug 30: The students of Model Academy School today celebrated Senior Citizens’ Day by paying a visit to at Old Age Home, Amphalla and distributing sweets and other eatables among them.
The students of class 4th to 6th of both the branches of the school, Residency Road and BC Road accompanied by four teachers, visited the Old Age Home and distributed sweets, fruit, bread and biscuits among them.
The purpose of the visit was to make the children aware about the importance of seniors in the family and the love and respect needed to be given to them. The students had a wonderful interaction with the senior citizens who were happy to meet the children.
Earlier, a special morning assembly was also held in which the students of the Drama Club presented a skit depicting the role of elderly people in our life. Cards were presented by the students to the senior citizens of the school.
