UDHAMPUR, Oct 1: The nursing officers of Military Nursing Service at Command Hospital Udhampur celebrated their 89th MNS Raising Day today.
On this occasion, Lt Gen DS Hooda, GOC-in-C (Army Commander) extended his greetings to all MNS officers and their families, staff of MNS in the Command Zone.
Military Nursing Service is an Integral glorious service of Defence Forces with an enduring ability to deliver effective nursing care to the sick and wounded, despite all constraints. The mission of MNS is “Excellence in Patient Care” both in war and peace, which is pursued with utmost fervor, zeal and zest.
On Oct 1, 1926, a permanent nursing service for the Indian troops was formed and was designated as Indian Military Nursing Service. MNS officer’s valuable contribution to the armed forces has been well appreciated all around both in India and abroad.
