JAMMU, Feb 4: MLA Bhadarwah, Dilip Singh Parihar and leaders of BJP and Congress from Doda and Kishtwar district have demanded immediate airlifting of the people of far-flung areas of the twin districts who are stranded at Kishtwar, Doda and Bhadarwah.
In a statement issued here, today MLA Bhadarwah, Dilip Singh Parihar said that the people Kaljosar, Manokata, Cluri, Ladoo, Kansar, Chillara, Thanda, Keli, Kelar, Mathola Sarpingal and Josha Halaran are totally cut of from rest of the State.
He demanded that work be started on clearance of snow on roads immediately and efforts be made to provide all basic amenities of life to these people.
Senior Congress leader from Kishtwar Shamsher Singh Bhandari while expressing concern over the plight of the people in snow bound areas of Kishtwar and Doda districts demanded that Government should air lift the stranded people and also ensure the essential commodities and clearance of roads besides restoration of power and water supply in far flung areas.
BJP district vice president Kishtwar, demanded that the stranded people of Madwa, Wadwan, Dachan, Machail and Padder who are cut off be airlifted immediately.
He also demanded that the work on snow clearance be started so that the normal traffic plies on various rural areas of Kishtwar district. Besides, all steps be taken to ensure supply of essential commodities including power and water supply.
