MLA kick starts blacktopping work

JAMMU, Nov 25: MLA Udhampur Pawan Gupta today kick started the blacktopping on Lota to Salay Tundi road in Malard Panchayat.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Gupta disclosed that black topping of Lota to Salay Tundi road will cost Rs 21 lakh. He said that development of Udhampur Assembly constituency was his priority and his mission.
Gupta disclosed that  Phalata -Garnai water scheme is under construction and after its completion,  the people from Tekri to Malard will be getting  sufficient drinking water. MLA asked the people to select a suitable place with the consent of all and after that he will place necessary instruction to the authorities concerned for the installation of new Hand Pump in the area.
Earlier, Pawan Gupta was warmly welcomed and garlanded by the locals of Malard Panchayat under the leadership of Ex-Sarpanch Pawan Sharma on his arrival.
While addressing the gathering, Sukhdev Singh said that after a decade,   this neglected area of  the Panchayat was  being developed and connected with a network of roads. He added that  people of this area were  facing scarcity of drinking water and demanded a Hand Pump  in the area.
Ex- Sarpanch Pawan Sharma said that the MLA  has fulfilled his election commitment and a new chapter of development will begin with  the construction of this road.
The prominent among others,  present on the occasion,  included Raj Kumar Buccha, Navneet Gupta, Janak Singh,  Payar Singh, Sarrop Singh, Choudhary Bashir, Sandor Singh, Paras Ram, Balwan Singh and Rumal Singh.
