UDHAMPUR, Oct 5: The missing youth was found dead in a canal at Kawa in Udhampur, here today.
According to police officials, the deceased was identified as Pardeep Kumar (24), son of Mangat Ram, resident of Kawa. His body was found floating in the canal coming from Chenani.
On being informed, a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of DH Udhampur. Family members informed that the deceased was missing since October 1 (Saturday).
Udhampur Police have initiated inquest proceedings in this regard under Section 174 CrPC.
