JAMMU, Sept 27: VHP State secretary, Shakti Dutt Sharma today alleged that minority community in the Rajouri has been made the victim of a big conspiracy hatched by some vested elements in the district administration and police.
Addressing the media persons here, today Sharma briefed them about the information collected by the VHP delegation which had visited the Rajouri town recently to have on spot study of the situation there. He said the VHP members Karuna Prakash, Kshetriya Sangathan Mantri, Suresh Chander working president, Ajay Manhas convenor Hindu Helpline, Naveen Sudan convenor Bajrang Dal & Prem Shanker Prant Seh Sangathan Mantri visited the Rajouri town and interacted with the minorities there.
He said while interacting with the local people, trade organisations & other social & religious organisations it was found and established that a big conspiracy was hatched against the minority community by some people sitting in the police & civil administration having the full patronage of politicians. The shops were looted & set on fire after the imposition of curfew & in the presence of police in the crowded city, he added.
He said those who are involved in creating communal tension are scot free while the innocent people have been harassed. Smelling a rat the VHP said that a sense of terror among the minority community is being created systematically to make Rajouri free from minorities and force them to migrate from the region on the Kashmir pattern. “But we appreciate the people of Rajouri who are firmly fighting with these anti-social and communal forces and maintaining peace & harmony”, he added.
He said the whole nation stands with them. He also appealed to the Government to compensate the shopkeepers and other peoples who suffered from the violence and put the culprits behind the bars otherwise these anti-national communal forces will overpower the minority community and there will be a Kashmir like situation if steps are not taken on the right time.
“We warn the State administration to refrain from framing false charges against VHP & other Hindu activists to make balance and appease the fundamental forces otherwise there will be a mass resentment in the society & the State Government will be responsible for all consequences, he said”.
All the members of the delegation were present in the press conference.
