Minor killed, 3 injured in accident

DODA, Aug 16: A 13-year-old girl died and three others were injured as a group of pilgrims from Doda on Manimahesh Yatra met with an accident.
The unfortunate incident occurred at Bharmour area of Himachal Pradesh when an iron pole fell on them.
Among the injured, 2 were airlifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Chamba and another injured minor has been hospitalized at Bharmour by the local administration.
District Administration Doda is in touch with DC Chamba, ADC Bharmour and authorities of GMC Chamba.
The DC Doda telephonically enquired about the well being of the injured and was apprised by the GMC Chamba authorities that both have fractures but their condition is stable.
The Deputy Commissioner also spoke to the families of the injured and assured all possible assistance in coordination with the administration of Chamba and Bharmour.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhaderwah is coordinating with ADM Bharmour for the hassle-free transfer/shifting of the body of the deceased girl identified as Pariksha Devi, daughter of Hem Singh to her native place in Khal Jugaser in Bhallesa in District Doda. The injured were identified as Anjeel Singh, son of late Om Parkash, a residentof Sharora Tehsil Bhaderwah, his 5-year old son Aadvik and Amita Manhas, wife of Naresh Manhas of Sirtangal Basti Tehsil Bhaderwah District Doda.
Concerned police has also taken cognizance in this regard.
