Minor boy from PoK repatriated

POONCH, June 27: An eight-year-old  boy hailing from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, caught on this side of the LoC by security force men two days ago, was handed over to Pak authorities at Chakkan-da-Bagh today.

Official sources said that the boy was detained after he inadvertently crossed over to this side of the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector on the intervening night of June 24-25. The troops guarding border, noticed movement of the boy on the LoC in Degwar sub sector and captured him. Later, he was handed over to the local Police Station.
He said the boy had apparently crossed the heavily-guarded LoC inadvertently. The district authorities found message from that side of the LoC about the missing of the minor boy. Then on the request of Pak authorities, the boy was today handed over to Pak authorities at Chakkan-da-Bagh. The boy was offered some gifts before leaving for PoK by the Indian officials.
