SRINAGAR, July 30: Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution and Transport, Ch. Mohammad Ramzan today visited the migrant colony situated at Natnussa falling in Kupwara district and enquired about the facilities being provided to the migrant families.
The Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Itrat Hussain, Additional Deputy commissioner Handwara and officers of different departments during the tour.
The Migrant families put their demands before the Minister for early redressal.
The Minister announced fair price shop, construction of tubewell and solar lights besides dust bins in the migrant colony. He also directed the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara to provide dust bins for the colony and implement welfare schemes for the migrants in letter and spirit.
The Minister also announced Rs. 50,000 out of his Constituency Development Fund for construction of tubewell in the migrant colony at Natnussa.
He assured the migrants that their genuine demands will be resolved at an earliest.
