JAMMU, Oct 12: The migrant youth protesting in front of Press Club demanding employment to 45 youth appointed under PM package in 2017 today warned that they will intensify agitation and continue it till the demand is settled.
The protesting youth with pla -cards and banners in their hands demanded they should be given justice and their selection be kept valid by issuing appointment orders in their favour. They said that they were selected through a due process of law and it is unfortunate that their orders were not issued till date by the authorities for the reasons best known to them.
They said the recent job notification issued by the Government for 1997 posts has been issued without applying mind as the case of these 45 candidates who have been selected in 2017 is pending in various foras. They alleged that it seemed that there was a planned act of Government to sideline these candidates despite the fact that Lt Governor had assured these meritorious candidates about redressal of their grievances.
They said that they wanted to serve in their native land Kashmir and they fail to understand why their appointment orders were not issued till date.
They said they have knocked every door in the Government but to no avail. It is unfortunate that when the SSRB had made the selection of candidates why Government is delaying the orders, they added.
Those who addressed the protestors included Vikram Mawa, Ashwani Mantoo, Bharti Koul, Pawan Kumar, Rozy Bhat, Jyoti Kachroo and Suman Raina.
