Micky accuses BJP of not fulfilling promises made 5 years back

JAMMU, Apr 15: Senior Congress leader and Ex Deputy Chairman, Legislative Council, Arvinder Singh (Micky) today said that main agenda of his party is the development of the backward and hilly areas of the State.
Micky, who visited the towns of Pouni and Bharakh in Reasi district today while addressing the public meetings said during the Congress rule Salal Hydel Project was a gift to the nation besides it the railway project was also taken up in hand. He also informed the people about the efforts of former Union Minister, Dr Karan Singh to extend the railway line to Katra and finally to Kashmir which has not only benefitted to the locals of the area but entire country.
Micky said that Congress candidate, Vikramaditya Singh is such a bold and strong leader who even resigned from Membership of Legislative Council for the greater cause of Jammu region. He accused BJP of creating chaos and misunderstanding among the masses. He alleged that not a single promise has been fulfilled by the BJP leaders made by them five years back.
He said that during last Lok Sabha elections people voted for BJP but their promises remained on papers only and despite having 25 MLAs from the Jammu region it failed to do any thing concrete for the region.
A large number of Congress and NC leaders were present in the meeting. They included Gurmeet Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Kailash Raj, Capt (retd) Surjeet Singh, Sandeep Singh, Sardar Mohammed, Abdul Rashid, Sonu, Karamjit Singh, Kamal Singh and Joginder Singh.
