JAMMU, May 5: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has said that the demand of former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to announce ceasefire during the month of Ramzan is unacceptable.
Addressing a press conference here today JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple said, there should be no separate PM for J&K, no withdrawal of AFSPA and PSA from the State till the last militant is eliminated.
“Last year during BJP-PDP alliance government we lost many men of our security forces and innocents faced grenade attacks during the ceasefire during Ramzan,” Dimple said.
He further said if the government agrees to the demand of Mehbooba Mufti then there will be an agitation across the State.
JWAM leader told reporters that militants should join the mainstream in the month of Ramzan and should surrender with weapons.
He also condemned the coward act of killing of BJP leader Gul Mohd Mir in Anantnag and senior RSS leaders in Kishtwar.
