SAMBA, June 30: Samba Municipal Council (SMC) president and councilors held a meeting with officials of PWD Department and raised issues of development at Samba here, today.
The meeting was held with the PWD Department to discuss several issues and the SMC representatives raised the demand for early completion of pending works in Samba. They also raised the demand for improving the condition of broken drains and roads due to the launching of anti-encroachment campaign in Link road and Main Market of Samba.
City Council president, Pawan Kohli said that apart from improving the condition of the markets, he also kept black-topping of the main roads of the wards under the city council including Shamshan Ghat road, FCI Godown-Highway road, Bus Stand-Budhwani road, Hospital road and Kehli Mandi road. The demand for construction and repair of Check road was also raised and the SMC councilors appealed to the officials to start the development work soon.
The city council president said that he has also requested the Deputy Commissioner to get the development work done and he is hopeful that the issues raises after this meeting will be processed soon and the development works will be completed.
Municipal Council vice president, Kamer Singh, Councilor Vinod Singh Binny, Tara Chand, Seema Amba, Aarti Antal and councilor, Ravi Khajuria were also present in the meeting.
