JAMMU, Aug 14: Hippocratic oath and apron wearing ceremony function was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm in GMC Jammu today.
Dr. Sunanda Raina, Principal & Dean, Government Medical College, Jammu in her inaugural address, stressed that this is a prestigious Institute which produced more than 8000 Medical Graduates and 6000 Post-graduates till date who are performing wonderful job and servicing the society not only at national but also at international level. She said over a period of five years these students will be trained as competent doctors with lot of expectations for the society.
Therefore she advised a human approach throughout their curricular besides knowledge and skills. She advised students to maintain discipline and punctuality, stay dedicated to their profession and follow academic regulations.
Dr. Vishal Tandon, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology, GMC Jammu delebrated the proceeding of the function. Dr. Nusrat Jabeen, Associate Professor, Department of Anatomy, GMC Jammu facilitated the oath ceremony. Many senior faculty members, doctors, and students of this institution and parents attended the function.
