Mayor takes stock of problems at Jagti Camp

JAMMU, Dec 21: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta today visited Jagti Camp in Nagrota and took stock of the problems being faced by the camp residents.
Earlier a deputation of prominent residents of the Camp had met the Mayor during weekly public meeting and had put forth their issues for redressal.
The Mayor was accompanied by Davinder Singh Bhau, Deputy Commissioner Relief Organization along with his staff; Chand Bhatt, president Displaced District BJP; Roop Krishan Koul, Mandal President and other prominent locals of the area.
The Mayor went round the Camp area and listened grievances of the residents who talked about problems of sanitation at the Camp and demanded maintenance of parks, installation of street lights, continuation of proper supply of relief and ration without any interruption etc.
The Mayor directed the Deputy Commissioner Relief Organization to take concrete measures so that all the genuine issues may be resolved in a time bound manner.
He also directed the concerned officer to get the door to door garbage collection start from each household and ensure proper sanitation of the area along with proper maintenance of parks by planting herbal plants and other seasonal saplings.
The Mayor appealed the inhabitants of Jagti Camp to co-operate JMC in maintaining their premises neat, clean and green.
He assured that all their remaining issues will be taken before the concerned authorities for redressal.
