JAMMU, June 16: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor and Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma today reviewed developmental works in Ward number 56 and 58 adjoining Green Parks at Jeevan Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion the Mayor said that these Green Parks are being constructed by the Engineering Wing of the JMC at an estimate cost of Rs. 3.95 lakh alongside of canal flowing through the locality.
He also said that this prestigious project has three beautiful view points, multi-play stations for children, benches for sitting and Pacca walkway.
Gupta said that more than 90 per cent of the construction work has been completed and directed the concerned engineering wing of JMC to expedite the execution of the remaining work within stipulated time period and make it open for the general public.
He also kick started the black topping of road opposite to Digiana Arshram being undertaken by Public Works Department.
The ongoing construction work of Nallah flowing through the locality being executed by UEED was also inspected and the Mayor asked the concerned engineers to complete the work with quality material well before the rainy season.
The Mayor also visited Mohalla Petrol Pump Lane near Janta Flour Mill where the house of one Dev Raj was burnt due to short circuit and urged upon the district administration to provide immediate relief to the affected person.
Baldev Singh Billoria, Chairman Health & Sanitation Committee, Tirath Kour Raina, Councillor and others also accompanied the Mayor.
