KATRA, Sept 21: Natrang’s mega musical theatre production ‘Mata Ki Kahani’ scripted, devised, designed and directed by Padamshree Balwant Thakur mesmerized the audience here at the auditorium of Spiritual Growth Centre on the opening day of Navratra Festival.
Based on the legend of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi this theatrical venture of world class is organized by J&K Tourism Department and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Katra which outshined in all respects.
Speaking on the occasion, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur informed that this magnificent performance is going to be performed for 14 more times every day at 3 pm and 6 pm at Spiritual Growth Centre auditorium from 22nd to 28th of September.
Prominent among those who graced the occasion include Jatinder Kumar Singh (CEO, SMVDSB), Prasanna Ramaswamy G (DC Reasi), Samita Sethi (Director Tourism) and Anshul Garg (Additional CEO, SMVDSB).
The most noteworthy feature of the presentation is its highly creative style of presentation which keeps the audience spellbound throughout the performance and magically unfolds the entire story of Mata Vaishno Devi in just one hour. Lot of effort has gone into the creation of this electrifying presentation which Natrang has managed with the help of 70 performers and technicians.
Many creative people strengthened the hands of Balwant Thakur in presentation of this play which included Neeraj Kant and Anil Tickoo (direction), Surinder Manhas and Sumeet Sharma (audiography), Virji Sumbly, Jaswinder and Tushaar (art direction), Rahul Singh and Mohd Yaseen (costumes and properties), Laxman (modern stage service), Rakesh Lona (choreography) and Shivam Singh (light design).
The prominent participants of this mega production included Manoj Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Adesh Dhar, Akash Bhat, Shubham Raj, Rickle Jadhan, Vishal Raina, Diya Sharma, Mohit Kaul, Ashish Parihar, Mohd. Mohsin Raza, Ashley Mehta, Zeeshan Haider and Mohd Umar.
