JAMMU, July 10: The 14th Chhari Mubarak Yatra of Mata Chamunda Devi Ji started from Rameshwar Mandir, Pacca Talab, Bahu Fort, Jammu for Sarvadhar, Pogal Paristan, Ramban.
The Chhari Mubarak Yatra was flagged-off by MP Rajya Sabha  Shamsher Singh Manhas. Kr. Rajeev Charak President BFDC, Baldevraj Nagrota Chairman BFDC, Ishant Gupta Spokesman BFDC, Vice Presidents BFDC Hardesh Khokher, Ajay Pargal & Anuradha Charak were also present and flagged-off yatra. Hundreds of yatris from Jammu participated the Chhari Mubarak Yatra and thousands of yatris from other districts including Ramban, Doda, Bhaderwah, will accompany it for the holy Darshan of Mata Chamunda Ji.
While flagging-off the yatra, Shamsher Singh Manhas said that our city is known as City of temples, these type of yatras will also develop peace and brotherhood among people from different districts and religions.  Manhas prayed to God for peace and prosperity of the State and also appealed the people to maintain peace, harmony and brotherhood, so that everybody will live happily.
Rajeev Charak also appealed the State Government to provide electricity, drinking water facilities and shelter facilities for yatris. He also said that it is the largest holy yatra of District Ramban and the State Government must develop this spot as tourist and pilgrimage spot.
Charak complimented the Minister of State for Transport (Independent charge), Revenue, Public Works (Roads & Buildings), Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Agriculture Production, YSS Sunil Kumar Sharma for black topping of road from Marakot to Senabati. Charak. He also complimented IG Jammu for providing adequate security for the yatra. Those who spoke on the occasion including Vinod Shavotra, Vikram Singh Charak, Baldev Raj Nagrota, Sushil Singh Charak, Ishant Gupta, Ajay Pargal, Rajinder Singh Charak, Anuradha Charak, Rohit Singh, Hardesh Khokher, Rakesh Kumar Bhagat, Darshan Kumar, Arjun Gandhi, Sunny Singh and Mani Ram Lakhotra.
