JAMMU, Oct 13: An accident victim belonging to Nagrota area of city outskirts today succumbed to his injuries at Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar.
According to a police official, an old man Rehmat Ali (65) son of Noor Ali, resident of Drabi (Nagrota) sustained serious injuries after he fell down from a height near his residence on September 28.
“On the same day, he was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu but later family members took him to Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar, where he succumbed to his injuries today”, the official said.
He said that body of the deceased was today shifted to mortuary room of GMCH Jammu for post mortem while inquest proceedings under Section174 CrPC have been initiated in the case at police station Nagrota.
