JAMMU, Mar 24: Pacca Danga police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a man along with 24 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Pacca Danga police station laid a naka near Manda and intercepted a Tavera car.
During checking, police recovered 24 kilograms of poppy straw from the bag of a passenger and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Arshad Ahmed, son of Wali Mohammad, a resident of Kulgam.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Pacca Danga police station and investigation started.
