JAMMU, Sept 24: Jourian police today arrested a man and recovered 40 litres of illicit liquor (lahan) from his house.
As per police sources, a team from Jourian Police Post conducted a raid in a house at Jadh, tehsil Akhnoor and recovered 40 litres of illicit liquor (lahan).
The owner of the house identified as Paramjeet Singh alias Pistu, son of Bhagwan Singh, a resident of Jadh, tehsil Akhnoor was arrested.
A case under FIR number 195/14 under Section 48 Excise Act has been registered at Akhnoor Police station and investigation started.
Police team led by incharge Jourian Police Post SI Sukhvir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh and SP Rural Mohal Lal Kaith.
