SAMBA, Apr 21: A 61 year old man died after being hit by a train on the railway track area of Jatwal in district Samba today.
The deceased has been identified as Rashpal Singh, 61, son of Magar Singh resident of village Chan Kanna area of Samba. The incident took place during the intervening night, when he was accidentally hit by Lodhi Express train and he died on spot. During the morning, when some passersby saw a body lying on the railway track, they immediately informed the Police. After getting the information, police reached on the spot and took the body into their custody and sent it to District Hospital Samba (DHS) for autopsy. After completing the legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to the legal heirs for last rites.
In this regard Police have taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
