Man detained for BSF attack

Srinagar, May 26: Police today detained a man for questioning his alleged role in the attack on the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Pandach area of Srinagar last week.
Police in Soura detained a man Waseem Ahmad Ganai son of Ghulam Mohammad Ganai of Dargah Road, Pandach. He was taken for questioning in a case related to killing of two BSF personnel at Pandach few days ago.
Police said Waseem Ganai is a known stone pelter of the area and has been detained by police several times in different FIRs.
Three persons were injured when an unexploded shell exploded in Tosa Maidan area of Khag in district Budgam today. The area was used as firing range by the army and Air Force and shells was an unexploded one.
Those injured have been identified as Morifat Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Abdullah Bhat, Mohammad Yaqub Gania son of Mohammad Yusuf Gania and Asif Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Hassan Wani residents of Dasan Beerwah in district Budgam.
