JAMMU, July 10: An old man who had consumed some poisonous substance and was undergoing treatment here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, expired today.
According to a police spokesman, one Mohd Nazeer (60) son of Wazir Ali, resident of Manjakote, was shifted to GMCH Jammu yesterday after he consumed some poisonous substance at his residence.
“However, the man expired today during treatment”, he said, adding the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for postmortem.
The spokesman said that the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
