JAMMU, Sept 14: A man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Rathana Camp area here, police sources said.
The deceased has been identified as Ajeet Kumar (50), son of Bindru Ram, a resident of Rathana Camp District Jammu.
After finding him unconscious, he was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last today afternoon.
After conducting autopsy, the body of the victim was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Arnia Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
