Man arrested in assault, Arms Act case

JAMMU, Feb 9: Kanachack Police arrested a man in assault and Arms Act case.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a man namely Bharat Bhushan, son of Babu Ram of Manyal Brahmana Tehsil Marh, lodged a complaint with Police Station Kanachack stating that today evening when he was going to his own vegetable shop at Deharan on his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CJ-9625, a person namely Naresh Sharma alias Nishu of Kangrail, Tehsil Bhalwal, District Jammu came in front of his motorcycle and used abusive and filthy language and also tried to assault me with sharp edged weapon (Toka).
“I fled away from the spot to save my life”, the complainant stated.
Acting swiftly, a team from Police Station Kanachack led by SHO Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal rushed to the spot and arrested the accused along with sharp edged weapon.
A case under FIR Number 15/2022 under Sections 341, 504 and 506 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act has been registered against the arrested person at Police Station Kanachak and investigation has been started.
