JAMMU, Oct 3: A man has been arrested along with the contraband of heroin from Dogra Chowk area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nowabad police station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Nowabad police station during routine checking at Dogra Chowk late last night intercepted a car bearing registration number JK11A-6137.
During checking, police recovered 10 grams of heroin from the possession of driver and arrested him on the spot.
The accused driver has been identified as Abdul Shakoor, a resident of Dhani Dharra, district Rajouri.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at police station Nowabad and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Ragubir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Nikhil Rasgotra and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
