JAMMU, July 3: Bahu Fort Police arrested a man for raping a minor girl.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a man with Police Station Bahu Fort stating that a person identified as Ajaz Ali alias Gudu, son of Zabril, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, at present Trikuta Nagar has raped her minor daughter.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant sections including POCSO Act was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led SHO Inspector Nayat Ali was constituted under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma conducted series of raids and arrested the alleged rapist.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
