JAMMU, Aug 7: Several Sarpanchs of block Majalta have demanded action against Congress leader R S Pathania for allegedly vitiating peace in the area.
A meeting of these Sarpanchs along with some prominent persons of Block Majalta was held today where they accused the Congress leader of resorting to hooliganism and using threatening language in the area yesterday while moving in open vehicle.
The meet urged the district administration and Police authorities to take cognizance of the said incident and register an FIR against the culprits.
Those who attended the meeting, included Karnail Singh (Sarpanch Chiani), Balwant Raj Sharma (Sarpanch Thalora), Dharam Singh, (Sarpanch Satriairi), Dina Nath Bhagat (Sarpanch Majalta), Ragubir Singh (Sarpanch Peoni), Abdul Rashid (Sarpanch Bhati Barigash), Rajesh Sharma (Sarpanch Baharna), Hans Raj (Sarpanch Jansal), Bodh Raj (Sarpanch Dhamma), Makhan Lal Sharma (Sarpanch Scundla), Balwan Singh (Sarpanch Babey) and Raj Kumar Sharma (Sarpanch Pathwar).
