JAMMU, Mar 10: Pradesh Mahila Congress today organised a provincial level executive body meeting.
All India Mahila Congress general secretary and incharge J&K, Chandrekha Behn Chudamani, Ex-MLA from Gujarat was the chief guest while AIMC secretary Veena Deswal was the guest of honour.
President Pardesh Mahila Congress Indu Pawar ( Ex-MLA) organized the provincial body meeting of all Mahila of Districts presidents & Block president at PWD Rest house Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
In her welcome address Ms Pawar said that Congress is a vibrant oldest party in India and in the State. She asked the party workers to follow Gandhian principles for development progress and peaceful living of all human beings. She asked all districts president & block presidents of Jammu province to be ready for upcoming ULB and Panchayat elections. She said that policies of secularism and equal opportunities to all & no discrimination on caste creed, religion is the strength of Congress Party.
Chandrekha Chuddamani said that for strengthening of party, institutions of District president, Block president and Urban & Rural areas and Local bodies are very important. She suggested that women should participate in large numbers and strengthen the party. She said that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are strong supporters of women empowerment and we have to work & fight for upliftment of our society and country.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included Vandana Makhnotra, Suman Choudhary, Reeta, Sita, Santosh Sharma, Bimla Slathia, Reena District Presidents Prabha Slathia, Sushma Choudhary, Narinder Kour, Satya Parmar and Sumitra Manhas.
