POONCH, May 20: Madan Lal Sharma, Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch has appealed the people to conserve water for future generations. He was speaking in an awareness camp on ‘Save and Safe Water’ organised by National Development Foundation in collaboration with Rural Development Department Poonch at Fazalabad Surankote.
Kuldeep Raj Verma, vice-chairman OBC, MLC Jahangir Mir, Civil officers of the district were also present besides Panchs, Sarpanchs and a large number of community members.
Member Parliament in his address demanded a tourist circuit for Bafliaz and Surankote and asked administration to develop such projects. He also asked people to start water conservation mission from their homes.
Meanwhile, he sanctioned a community hall worth Rs 15 lakh for Fazlabad and directed the District and sectoral officers to conduct a special darbar for Fazlabad and solve the small issues of the people of Fazlabad.
