JAMMU, July 31: Highly acclaimed street play “Maa Mujhe Tagore Bana De” was staged at MIER College of Education, here today.
The play apart from the faculty and students of BEd and BEd Spl Education Departments, was witnessed by Dr Renu Gupta, Director MIER, Dr Annie Koul, HoD BEd Wing.
Lucky Gupta, Actor and Director, Rangloke Theatre was the resource person of the show. This was the 275th show of the play which has been staged in more than 22 States of the country.
It is pertinent to mention here that Lucky has been giving solo performances for the last 3 to 4 years journeying throughout India.
The play portrayed the tribulations and hardships faced by the students belonging to the marginalized sections of the society. It also paid tribute to the selfless services rendered by the teaching community. The play left an indelible impact on the audience who were mesmerized by the performance.
Dr Annie Koul was all praise for the resource person as also for the performance of Lucky Gupta, terming it as highly sensitive and soul searching.
