NEW DELHI: The second day of the proceedings in the Lok Sabha in the ongoing Monsoon session of Parliament was washed out today as the House was adjourned for the day without transacting any business.
In the post noon session, as soon as the House assembled, Opposition members from various parties, including Congress, Trinamool Congress, Left parties, RJD, JD(U), AAP and NCP were up on their feet trying to raise their issues. As Members remained defiant, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House for the day.
Most Congress Members led by Gaurav Gogoi rushed to the Well raising anti-government slogans with few Members also carrying placards. “Kisan bachao, desh banao (Save Farmers to build up the country)” – slogan was raised by Deepender Singh Hooda, Gaurav Gogoi and others while Members from other parties were also seen trying to make their point.
