Srinagar, Mar 2: The trans-Line of Control (LoC) traders today called off their strike after the authorities revoked the ban on trading of Pistachio.
“The Government has removed the ban immediately on trading of Pistachio which has been the result of taking up the matter with the concerned by the President, JK-JCCI,” Jammu Kashmir-Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JK-JCCI) president Javed Ahmad Tenga said in a statement.
He said that they are hoping that the other issues will also be solved in the same spirit so that the Cross LoC trade will become meaningful and beneficial to people of Jammu and Kashmir. “Based on the above the LoC Traders association has suspended its protest,” he added.
